Reine Rorbuer - by Classic Norway Hotels

Restaurants, cafes, a petrol station, and the ferry terminal are all within about a five-minute walk. We also got a lovely warm welcome from the staff. The picturesque cabins keep their charm inside while having modern bathrooms.

The location is right in the center of Reine, and the staff were welcoming, helpful, and friendly. Breakfast in a separate building was excellent and extensive, with a huge range of choices. There’s also an excellent restaurant attached, though it’s pricey. I recommend the brunost ice cream made with Norway’s famous brown cheese. The lodging is cozy and rustic, right on the water, with a mountain view and a fantastic setting. The room was quite dark, with very low-wattage bulbs, though there are reading lights over the bed. There’s no daily room service, which was fine, but still a surprise. I think this is a much better choice than the other well-known rorbuer in Hamnoy.

Reine was a perfect village for our four-night honeymoon stay, with two restaurants, a café, a supermarket, and lots of nice hikes nearby. We absolutely loved the cozy cabins, their decor, and the comfortable beds. Definitely recommend!

We used this as our base for a week and really liked the atmosphere and feel of the red house. It had all the comforts we needed, and breakfast at the very good restaurant was great. Clean place, professional staff. We’ll come back.
