The space and the restorative, almost magical feel made this a great stay. These fishing cabins are fairly basic, for example, there are no toiletries, but you get plenty of room, your own fridge and freezer, a stovetop, and an oven. It’s also a great place to see the Northern Lights.

There was no soap provided, though the facilities were quite well equipped overall. The accommodation is lovely and has a peaceful atmosphere.

We enjoyed using the local buses, which were modern, clean, punctual, and comfortable for getting to most places. The 20-minute walk to the Co-op grocery store also let us make our own meals. We stayed three nights in mid-August in the more economical room without a sea view, and it was great. The hosts were very accommodating, the cabin was tidy and very clean, and the kitchen was well equipped, including both instant and brewed coffee options. We understand the appeal of an unobstructed view, but were glad to save some money in beautiful Norway, which is quite pricey by US standards. Thanks, Lynn and Michael!

After a camping disaster, we booked at the last minute and got amazing help from the reception staff. The cabin was spacious and had everything we needed. Staying in a traditional fishing hut, which I believe dates back to around the 18th century, was a really cool experience. There are also snorkeling and kayaking options right next door. Definitely recommend!
