Camp Sjusjøen

We had a sunny, fun day out, and the staff were really friendly. There’s a play field, a play area, and an old climbing wall, as well as boat rentals. The boat cost 400 NOK, which we thought was really expensive, but we enjoyed going out on it since there wasn’t much else to do. We’d taken a detour because the pictures made it look like a big place for kids to have fun. We arrived on Monday, the day after the summer holidays had ended there. We understand that things were getting quiet, but our summer holidays start and end three weeks later, so we were disappointed that the jumping pillows and stacking crates had already been removed. I wouldn’t make a detour for it again, though I think it’s great for groups of kids.

The place was nice, the standard was okay, and the kitchen was well equipped. But things were very disorganized: the staff didn’t know which hytte was rented or which kitchen was private and which was for guests. That made our stay problematic.

It’s a peaceful, lovely place where children can play safely. The lake is close enough for them to try kayaking.

A nice campsite with lots for kids to do, including a playground, pool table, chess, and ping pong.
