The bed was comfortable, and the room was spacious, though the layout wasn't very practical. The building is modern, with a few older parts, and sits right on the shore of the fjord in a fantastic spot.

We only stayed one night, but got there early enough to enjoy a pleasant walk around little Rognan, right by the hotel. It feels cozy being a bit off the beaten path, and breakfast the next morning was nice.

We were just passing through and stayed one night. The hotel was spotless, the staff were kind and helpful, and our room had lovely fjord and mountain views. The antique-style double room felt luxurious to me, with a beautiful bed and a large bathroom, though I wished it had a proper shower instead of a bathtub. They also set up a crib for my daughter, which was a big help. The inside of the hotel is stunning, the staff are available around the clock, and the breakfast was lovely with plenty to choose from. I'd definitely come back! 😍

A beautiful fjord-side location, with a fantastic view from the room and a great bathroom. I hadn't seen a baby grand piano in the foyer of a 3 Star hotel before. Breakfast is self-service.

I especially appreciated the reception staff taking time to go over my planned hike on the map and point out the trickier parts. They were incredibly helpful, and the breakfast was fresh and had a wide selection. Their friendliness stood out again. The lobby and sitting area are lovely places to look out over the water with a glass of wine. In March, Rognan, Saltdal felt very quiet and almost closed down, which made it a relaxing break from city life. It also makes a great base for outdoor activities, with Saltstraumen and Bodo airport both about 1.5 hours away.
