Make sure you arrive hungry, the traditional Norwegian food is really good, and this was my favorite stop along E6 when I drove past last year. If someone's appetite is small, you can politely ask about the situation, and they might offer half price on the buffet. Time your drive so you can eat here! Kudos to the kitchen staff, if the owner sees this.

I'm a truck driver, and this is a must-stop for me whenever I take this road. They serve a big, delicious portion of egg and bacon from 09:00. TUSSEN TAKK, a fantastic place to grab food on a trip.

It's a large place that's easy to spot when heading north, so you have time to decide whether to pull in. There were lots of people and tourist buses, but the staff were kind. I also found a nice Norway hoodie in the gift shop at a fair price.

I stopped to get food and fuel, and the buffet was great. Best service station food I've ever had. Now I'm back on the road with a full tank and a full belly!

Opened on 9 March 1990, Saltdal Tourist Center sits in scenic Storjord in Saltdal. It's a natural place to stop for travelers, tourists, and people from the area, with a restaurant, kiosk, cabins, rooms, camping, petrol station, charging station, souvenirs, and clothes. There are accessible nature, cultural, and hiking trails nearby, along with rest areas, gap huts, and built bonfires. Suspension bridges connect several parts of the trail network, with routes going in different directions. Stop in for a meal or a hot coffee after a local walk, or stay overnight in one of the cabins to see more of the area. The friendly service is always there to welcome you!
