For the price, the included breakfast is really nice, and the two-person rooms are clean and pleasant. It’s a nice, inexpensive hotel or hostel. Just don’t expect luxury: you’ll need to bring your own shampoo, for instance, and make your own bed. Still, it’s a pleasant place to stay.

We liked staying here. It’s in a quiet spot, but restaurants, cafes, and shops in the town center are within walking distance. The hotel has around a dozen parking spaces; overnight guests can use the plentiful metered street parking for free until 9 am, then they need to move the car or start paying. There’s also a communal kitchen and laundry for guests. Breakfast was decent, and the hotel upgraded us to two rooms to fit our party, which was very nice. One confusing detail: the building and business cards call it Hotel Sverre, which may have contributed to a delay with one of our bags. IcelandAir misplaced a piece of our luggage, and four hotel staff members helped us arrange its delivery. I’ll cover the airline side of that in a separate review.

The websites don’t clearly say whether breakfast is included, and getting a reliable WiFi connection was very difficult. Even when we asked for specific rooms, they ended up assigning us rooms of their own choosing...
