The hotel is a bit outside Oslo, but the rooms are clean and kept in good shape. Breakfast is a buffet with the usual Norwegian choices, including bread, pastries, cheese, meat, cereal, yogurt, eggs, and fish. There’s also laundry on site.

This place has a soul, with a mysterious feel in the middle of a big forest just outside Oslo. There’s free parking and a good range of options, plus a gym, sauna, and guest laundry room. Finding the basement in building C is a fun little adventure, and it brought back those 90s hotel vibes. A real hidden gem.

The food is good, and the staff are friendly and helpful. In summer, you can swim in Syverudtjern, just a stone’s throw away. The hotel is idyllically situated and has plenty of charm, which makes the needed upgrades to the rooms, the hotel itself, and the outdoor area easier to overlook than at a worn-down city hotel. It’s a bit of a hidden gem, only a half-hour bus ride from Oslo. Highly recommended.

Sofiane at reception was especially helpful and gave us a warm welcome. We had a fantastic stay at Sormarka Conference Hotel, just outside Oslo. Our suite had lots of space and was comfortable for all four of us, including our two kids. The hotel sits in a picturesque forest setting beside a beautiful lake, a peaceful break from the city. We highly recommend it for a comfortable, scenic getaway near Oslo.

The rooms are really comfortable, and there’s a bar as well as a restaurant with very reasonable prices. The staff are great, friendly, and accommodating. Late check-in is available, and they also host conferences.
