We only stayed one night, and the room was decent. The rain hitting the large windows was a bit louder than I expected, but otherwise everything was fine. There’s paid garage parking nearby since the hotel doesn’t have its own parking garage. Breakfast was pretty good, especially with that view.

The breakfast buffet was outstanding, served on the hotel’s 21st level with magnificent views across the city. The rooms felt fresh and nicely furnished, and the beds were super comfortable. It’s also close to a beautiful park, with lovely walking paths through lots of trees beside the water. I’d definitely stay here again.

At first the hotel didn’t respond to my messages about a duplicate booking caused by a technical error, which was disappointing. After I escalated the issue, management looked into it personally, arranged a refund, and said they’d improve their procedures to prevent this happening again. In the end it was resolved, and I appreciate the effort to put things right.

This place is a rat hole, in a word or two. It’s near the convention centre, which leaves it remote from most everything else. The cleaning crew aren’t up to the job, and the front desk receptionists also work as bartenders. They do both jobs poorly. Update: The manager’s reply makes them seem clueless as well. He’s right, though, that I’m “from the country where hotels are run by competent people and the reception staff is trained to attend to the guests instead of talking on a headphone glassy-eyed”. I’ve added a look at the “ready room” I found when I arrived. Two stars is generous, Lars. Manage better.
