Lilland Hotell

We booked months ahead and got a confirmation, but the virtual check-in details never arrived. We had no code for the front door or our room. There was nobody at reception, and we couldn’t find any other staff, so we had no way to check in. We tried calling, texting, and emailing with the booking information and confirmation number, but nobody got back to us. In the end, we had to rush around at the last minute to find somewhere else. It was stressful, especially in an area with so few places to stay.

The room was clean, parking was included, and the free tea and coffee were nice. Breakfast was just okay. The bread was so raw that we left it, and there wasn’t much else to it. Maybe they could change it a little, with a boiled egg, a different bread, and without the pear. Everything else was fine for a one-night stay.

The farm behind the hotel was a nice touch, and breakfast was good. The room felt a bit cramped, though, and the place is near where the city parks its buses. We heard them beeping at 5 a.m. I don’t know if that happens every day or if we just got unlucky that morning. The location is great for the Preikestolen hike.

A nice, clean place for a few nights. The Wi-Fi was fast, and I’d say try their beer. The new beds seemed too soft and were very uncomfortable. The TV only had Norwegian channels.
