The room was quite spacious, if a little dated, and the hotel was decent for our two nights in Trondheim. It's well placed for walking to some city attractions, and there's a restaurant just across the street for dinner or other meals. The hotel doesn't have its own restaurant, though it does serve breakfast, plus free waffles and tea at 3 PM. We had trouble reaching reception at 5 AM. One of my companions had left their phone in the cab, and we only noticed once we were at the airport, so I called to see if reception could help locate the taxi they'd booked for us. Nobody answered. I ended up calling the cab company myself, and luckily we'd kept the taxi receipt.

The hotel has a lot of charm, and the Nordic hospitality was lovely. Staff were friendly, breakfast was awesome, and the afternoon waffle was a great extra. Its location in the historic city is perfect, with Trondheim S train station easily accessible and attractions, restaurants, and shops all within walking distance.

The food and bakery were great, and the receptionist on my first day was excellent, welcoming, and very helpful. But my room was extremely noisy. There was constant movement and loud conversation outside, mostly from staff rather than guests, and I found it hard to sleep. At checkout I mentioned the noise, but the response felt passive and short on proper customer service. Better noise control and more consistent service would make this a much better stay.

A central spot, very close to the Flybuss stops. The hotel was beautiful and cozy, with amazing staff. Breakfast was a fresh, tasty buffet with something for every taste and need, and the complimentary waffles were delicious.

The parking situation is a disaster. You buy a ticket for the underground garage at reception and get directed there, but as a foreigner it's impossible to work out who owns which spaces. In the end, we paid over 630 crowns on top of the parking fees. It feels like a rip-off, and the hotel doesn't seem to care. The hotel itself is very nice, the rooms are well maintained, and breakfast is great.
