The rooms were much too warm, and they looked really shabby for what the hotel costs. The Comfort Inn was only a little more expensive and far nicer. It's centrally located, though getting there from the train station with a roller suitcase is a bit of a hike. I was only there for one night and didn't need a longer stay, but I wouldn't have wanted one.

With the student discount, this was great value. The room was small but neat and functional. Breakfast was nice, and one of the coffee choices was excellent coffee from a capsule machine.

The breakfast was nice, but after staying at lots of hotels from this chain, I'm surprised this one falls so far below their usual standard. It was 30C in the city and the rooms were unbearably hot, while reception had only a few tiny fans. The design felt very dated and the bathrooms were tiny. The fridge also didn't work, so the food I left in it was thrown away in the morning. When I'm next in Trondheim, I'll stay somewhere else. I already knew that while visiting.

The windows only open a tiny bit, and with no ventilation the room got to around 30 degrees. Street noise on top of that meant I barely slept. The room was very small too.

A good place to stop over, whether you're coming from the airport bus or walking about 12 minutes from the central train station. The single rooms are small but do the job, and the breakfast room is tidy and pleasant. There's also a very good microbrewery nearby, with decent food and a great selection of craft beers.
