Stetind Hotell

We felt very comfortable here and had a great stay. The room had been newly renovated, the mattresses were very good, and the front desk staff were friendly. We could also charge our e-car at a very good price. I don’t quite understand the critical reviews, and would recommend this hotel with five stars.

We’ll probably come back. It’s a really nice hotel in a beautiful spot, with lots of choices for hikers and for anyone who just wants to take in the views. Breakfast had a big selection and everything tasted great, thanks to the very caring owners :)

The bedrooms were very nice and clean, and the owner did ask what time we wanted breakfast. That’s why I’m giving this place two stars. My family and I were stranded in Kjopsvik after our electric car ran out of battery, and had to wait for emergency services instead of catching the ferry. My disabled mother, our two toddlers, my husband, and I needed somewhere to rest for a few hours. When we stopped at the hotel, the clerk/owner wasn’t welcoming. He got mad when I asked whether we really had to take two rooms for a stay of only about 3 hours, and replied, “this is a serious hotel.” We were exhausted and frustrated after the longest day, and paid a little over 300 euro for those 3 hours.

The service was horrible, and this is not a good place for families. They didn’t listen when we said NO ONION, then served us a pizza with onion. When customers complained about food, the staff didn’t care. They said we had ordered it and they couldn’t fix it, so we should eat what they served, or they told us to get out of the hotel. A month later we went back hoping to eat something there and change our minds about the place, but it was chaos. The kitchen boss said they didn’t want to serve us because of the bad review we’d left last time. They were so negative toward us, so we left. It’s the worst place to go to eat or sleep. The staff don’t want to serve you, say you can’t eat there, and show you the door. It’s not a good place to eat or have a good time.
