Nordis Suites

The room is huge, and the walkout balcony makes it easy to take in the harbor view from inside. It’s the best view we’ve had so far on our stay in Lofoten.

The apartment had a great location, with views of both the ocean and the city. The rooms were great, each with its own bathroom, and I could see the ocean from the living room. I bet you can see the northern lights from here, too, but the sky was cloudy while I was there. There’s no reception. To get into the parking underneath, I had to talk to the restaurant staff downstairs. Parking uses a local phone number, which was really difficult with our international phone and SIM. We had to go back to the restaurant and ask someone to call for us. Very uncomfortable.

There were no staff around, just a message with check-in steps. I sent several questions about parking and got no reply. The worst part was that breakfast was listed as included without saying where it was. After I pleaded several times for someone to answer, I finally got a very rude message saying breakfast was in our fridge. I opened it and there was nothing there. I told the staff, then got ignored. For the amount we paid, Thon Hotel has a better view, breakfast, and service. I wouldn’t bother staying at Nordis apartment.

We had a really nice stay in our suite during the quiet season. It had two bedrooms and two bathrooms, just for my husband and me. Breakfast was delicious each morning. There was some leftover food in the fridge from the previous guests, which was unfortunate. I took off a star because at 6am checkout there was nobody at the front desk. You had to call a number to reach someone, so we left our keycards with a note.
