The breakfast is what makes this place special. You wake up to a table set for you with homemade fresh orange juice, yogurt, egg, and a selection of cheese, meat, and bread. I much prefer that to a buffet. The garden is quiet and lovely for some time away from screens. There are no TVs in the rooms, just one in the shared lounge, though guests who need to stay connected can use the WiFi. Tea and coffee are free. Checkout is early, so get up in time to enjoy it. Recommended for the experience.

We visited Gjesteheim Havdal for the second year, and again found a very friendly, helpful couple, nice rooms, and a very good breakfast. It deserves a top rating. We just didn't have enough time to explore the beautiful surroundings.

The room was beautiful, and our host was so welcoming and attentive. We had a lovely night here and such a good time. Breakfast was perfect, with everything we needed.

The setting is pleasant, with forest and flowers around, and the staff were nice, if a little reserved. Our double room was roomy and had its own toilet and shower. Breakfast was simple but very nice. There was some mold in the shower, which is why I can't give five stars, but I'd happily stay again.

Ruth and Anja were great at suggesting hikes, sharing topo maps, and driving us to trail starts. The guesthouse is perfectly placed for exploring Dovrefjell and other nearby parks. It was quiet and relaxing at night, and the particularly large rooms were clean, with the toilet and bathroom separated. No TV in the room, but the shared living room is cozy and has a large TV with Chromecast. WiFi was ok, and there's a large fridge for guests. The staff are somewhat reserved, but very friendly, helpful, and hospitable. I felt right at home and only wished I could stay longer. Full board is recommended. If I come back to the region, I'd choose this guesthouse again without hesitation.
