Traveller Jungle Camp

A rhino walks through the hostel garden every other night, which was a really special highlight. The room was comfortable and had AC, and the manager and staff were friendly and did everything they could to make our stay pleasant, even booking our bus tickets. Both nature guides were highly experienced and knew the jungle well. We felt very safe on the walking safari. We'd recommend this place 100%.

I felt like part of the family during my stay. The camp is cozy and beautiful, on a street with a few shops, restaurants, and cafés. The dining hall staff were attentive, and Mr Gopal hosted me and made sure I had what I needed, including à la carte breakfast and a driver when I was leaving. Saugat was great to communicate with by email while arranging activities, and when my flight was cancelled, he quickly found me a car from Kathmandu. Som guided me for two days in Chitwan National Park. He's kind, fun, and knows his stuff. We did a jeep safari and a forest walk, and I saw deer, rhinos, birds, crocodiles, and amazing vegetation. Som explained lots about Chitwan's plants and animals. I'll recommend the camp to friends and relatives if I get the chance.

Gopal made this trip memorable. From the moment I arrived, he was incredibly kind and generous. We chatted several times, he arranged tours and guided me one day, and twice he came to get me when a rhino was heading past and through the property. He even greeted me on the morning I left with Tika and a scarf. I couldn't have asked for better hospitality. The place is right in the center, but quiet and peaceful at night, with a lovely interior garden full of seating. My room felt like a little cabin, with a great hot shower, mini split heater/AC, comfy mattress, table and chairs on the balcony, and a kettle with complimentary coffee and tea. Also, a rhino regularly walks right through the property. People from a neighboring hotel came over to see it after missing one on their safari.

The garden and thoughtfully designed rooms made it easy to relax, with comfortable beds and modern bathrooms. At Travelers Jungle Camp in Sauraha, I felt peaceful among the lush jungle and birdsong, and the hosts' warmth made me feel welcome right away. Each day brought something new, from riverside walks to meeting the local community. It was a comfortable way to experience Chitwan's nature and culture up close, with a simple, caring sense of connection. I carry those memories with joy.
