The rooms worked perfectly for a solo traveler like me, and the food was prepared right in front of me with good hygiene. The hospitality was good too. They helped me arrange trekking adventures and even got me a really good exchange rate for DHS currency.
After a bumpy ride from Kathmandu, it was nice to find a five-story hotel with air conditioning by the Melamchi River. The Nepalese food was good, especially the bread and egg breakfast with masala tea. A person with a disability worked at the hotel, which I thought was great. Expect a decent stay in the Melamchi valley.
I really enjoyed the food, but the service annoyed me. We waited 30 minutes for more rice, and nobody even apologized.
The guest house food is amazing, with Nepalese flavors coming through as soon as you start eating. Melamchi Bazzar is a small market, but you can find just about everything there, and it serves shoppers from nearby cities too. In the morning, clouds come up ahead of you, and the breeze makes you want to stay all day, though hopefully you have more places to travel. The site is beautifully aligned.
A great place to stay, with a homely atmosphere. I had a really good time.
