Monica and her family were so helpful and made me feel welcome from the start. I had a wonderful stay, and I’m really grateful for their warmth, kind smiles, and all the help. I’d happily recommend staying with them when you come to kathmandu! ❤

Manika and her family made this stay special. They were lovely and helped us with everything, and Manika cooked us a wonderful breakfast each morning. She also showed us how to do wood carving. The room was spacious, hot water was available around the clock, and the WiFi was the best we had on our whole trip. We’d definitely stay again. Nyatapola Guest House is in a fantastic spot in Bhaktapur, and everything is close by. Don’t miss the included breakfast. The rooftop terrace is a charming place to enjoy it. The owners are friendly and really look after you. They also offer dinner and cooking classes, and there’s a woodcarving shop downstairs. The rooms have private bathrooms with showers, and some have a sitting area. There’s free WiFi, a sun terrace, private parking, a shared lounge, a 24-hour front desk, a hairdresser’s, a gift shop, and bike rental. Kathmandu and Nagarkot are both 11.3 km away, and Tribhuvan Airport is 6.9 km away.

The hostess and her family did everything they could to make our stay a good one. If you’re staying more than a night, try the traditional dinner she cooks. It costs extra, but it’s absolutely gorgeous. The guesthouse is handy for Bhaktapur’s sights. It’s a 10-minute walk from the bus stop for Pokhara and 20 minutes from the stop for Nagarkot. Breakfast is very good, with a small selection that’s tasty and filling. I loved the banana pancake with juju dhau. The beds are very comfortable, though the rooms are quirky and anyone very tall may need to stoop. There’s a floor fan but no air conditioning. Rooms at the back are quieter, while the front ones look onto the street. You’ll need a padlock for your room.

Monica and her family are wonderful, kind hosts, and the breakfast they make is super tasty. The house feels cozy and authentic, though the ceilings are a bit low. Some rooms still work for tall people, like my boyfriend, who’s 191cm. There’s a great wood workshop on the ground floor, with classes if you want to try it. You can also take a Nepali cooking class. Just don’t get confused by the photos or Oyo Nyatapola View Guesthouse. Our cute, lovely guesthouse got mixed up with a big company.
