The room was large, with a big bed, and the location was great. People were friendly too, but the stay was very disappointing. It was filthy, there was no hot water or wifi, and the power went out several times. We told staff about the electrical problems, but nothing was fixed. We planned to stay several nights, but left first thing after the first one. We were in town for Bisket Jatra festival, so finding another hotel at the last minute left us with few options. A very disappointing experience.

The rooms weren’t soundproof, so as a light sleeper I found it hard to sleep past 7. Still, I was very happy with the stay and would recommend it. The staff deserve 6/5: incredibly helpful and friendly, especially after I’d just left hospital. They helped us book our upcoming journeys.

From my visit as a Google local guide, I liked how well managed and decorated the hotel was, and how it lets you feel the local environment. The rooms were hygienic, with attached bathrooms, and the staff were incredibly helpful, with deep knowledge of Bhaktapur durbar. You can see Bhaktapur Durbar Square, a world heritage site, as well as Five Storied temple, the Bhairabnath temple, and Taumadi square very clearly. The hotel serves Newari, Nepali, Continental, Indian, and Chinese foods, along with Bhaktapur Juju Dhau curd. It’s a great place to visit for a local feeling.

The room itself was nice and big, the people were so nice, and the location is very close to the big 5 level temple. But there was no electricity or water. It was the only building on the whole street without lights, and after we asked over and over, only one or two lights came on each time. No charging, no wifi, no hot water, then absolutely no water at all. The floor and sheets were really dirty. Such a shame. I hope they get the infrastructure fixed.

The room on the top floor had a beautiful view of the darbar square. It’s very new and clean, and the location deserves five stars. There was no air-conditioning, though, and the bathroom light was too dim.
