The stained bedsheet and the smell in the room made for a poor stay, and water was leaking in the bathroom too. What worried me most was that one key could unlock the door to a different room. It felt unsafe and badly managed, and needs serious improvement.

It’s a decent budget option, with plenty of parking. Since it’s right on the main road, it’s convenient for travellers to get going again after a long rest.

For a city hotel, it’s pretty average, though the attached bathrooms in every room were clean enough and there was a fresh towel, which I don’t usually expect from mid-range hotels in Nepal. It has a reputation as one of the area’s top places, but somehow we couldn’t get a beer after 10.

I’d booked online, but when I arrived tired from travelling at night, the hotel had no record of it. They sorted it out eventually. Even so, the price felt a little high for what we got, especially compared with better hotels in Dhangadi like devotee.

The staff are welcoming, and the food is good. The room lighting, though, is quite dim. You can walk to restaurants and coffee shops from this hotel in the heart of Dhangadhi. Water bottles cost a lot here, so if you’re staying a few days, it may be wise to bring a case along. Cheers!
