I keep choosing this place whenever I’m in Pokhara, four visits so far this year. It has what I need: peace and quiet, spacious rooms, a good location and price, and no ‘Big Brother’ CCTV like some places have. The owner is super helpful, whether you need laundry, a bus ticket, a cooking lesson, directions, or life advice. Okay, leave the man alone, he’s running a whole hotel and can’t give everyone free therapy. But he’s always nice to talk to when I see him. I’ll come back to Pokhara whenever I can, and this is still my hotel of choice.

We really appreciated the help arranging a shared taxi from Pokhara to jhinu. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the balcony view was a highlight. We had a great stay at Diplomat, with warm hospitality and a great location. Highly recommended!

There’s no Wi-Fi, the shower head is rusty, and the doors don’t lock from the inside. The bed had insects, and there were no cleaning staff. The owner doesn’t listen to requests and gets cranky when communicating with guests. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all.

The hotel staff and owners were friendly and talkative, and the rooms were really clean. Beds were comfortable, the balcony had a nice view of the area, and there’s a pleasant garden. It’s close to the lake and lots of nice shops and restaurants, with little street noise. The only small bathroom issues were a door that got stuck easily and water that was rather cold.

At Lakeside, Hotel diplomat is in a quiet spot close to all the major attractions. The owner gives a welcoming vibe, and customer service is very friendly. I’d definitely recommend staying here.
