The worst part was how unsafe and intrusive the stay felt. A servant came into our room without knocking while my family was inside, looking for a matchstick box left in a drawer. We told him not to come in, but he ignored us and searched anyway. He didn't apologize. There was noise and smoking in nearby rooms, with drunk guests shouting and blasting music. As this was an OYO room, the hotel was full of obnoxious guests. It didn't feel suitable for families. The room itself was filthy. The sheets smelled unwashed, the blankets had lipstick marks, and the kettle was broken. Staff were rude and careless. Reception ignored calls, and the restaurant staff lost their temper when we asked for help. Dinner was the same bland meal both nights, and when we politely asked for extra, they refused, saying it was a “fixed thali.” Our package promised multiple breakfast options, but we were given just one item. This place ruined our trip.

It was lovely to see a hotel like this open locally. People from Nepal and visitors from abroad can stay here and enjoy traditional Nepali food and entertainment.

At the charging station in Janakpur, I was first glad to find the facility, but there was no one to help when I tried to charge my vehicle. The charger required an app, and the QR code on the machine was wrong. Some people also demanded an extra Rs. 100 to charge it, which is unacceptable and needs attention from the authorities. Download the correct app, ElectriVa, beforehand to avoid trouble. Charging infrastructure matters, but it needs proper management and a system people can use easily. I hope the authorities fix this and stop fraudulent activity.

There’s plenty of parking, and the big swimming pool is the best thing about this hotel. You can use the pool without staying overnight, too. The rooms are okay, but the food was awful. The vegetables in our khana set smelled bad, so it may have been two days old.
