I was surprised Hotel shubham Janakpur had the OYO brand. On my recent visit, the room and bathroom were poorly cleaned, with spider webs in the bathroom, and the bed felt oddly sized. The Wi-Fi was slow and weak, and the electrical outlets near the bed didn't work properly. Service was poor too: after bringing the first serving, they said there was no more food when I asked for extra, then brought the bill as soon as I finished, as if they were in a hurry for me to pay. The way they behaved with customers made this my worst experience.

Paan spit was all over the place, and the staff were rude from the very first conversation. When I told them the TV and AC weren't working, they were completely unresponsive. No politeness at all. I wouldn't recommend it.

I had a really enjoyable stay here. The rooms are great, and the newly opened hotel is clean and well kept. There's no intercom phone for room service yet, though, and I hope they add one soon and keep up the same standard.

The room's sanitation was a serious problem, and the owner treated us rudely. The workers acted the same way. This was one of my worst stays in historic Janakpur Dham.

It's close to Janaki Temple and the price is reasonable. From the outside it looks average, but all the rooms have air conditioning. You can pay less for the same room if you choose not to use it.
