Fairfield by Marriott® Kathmandu Thamel

The breakfast spread was a highlight, with veg momos, chowmein, sel roti, chana, dosa, and plenty more. We also enjoyed the variety on the all-day dining menu, and everything we tried was tasty. I even bought two paintings displayed in the breakfast lobby. I love that the hotel promotes local art. I stayed four days at Fairfield Marriott Kathmandu for my darshan trip to Pashupatinath and Guhyeshwari Devi. The staff were warm, attentive, and helpful throughout. Thanks to the reception team for arranging cabs whenever we needed to go out, including the night staff member whose name I forgot, and to Laxmi. Samir and Chef Ram from the kitchen and breakfast team also made us feel cared for. It was a warm, memorable stay, and I'd highly recommend it.

The location in the city was great, and the hotel felt clean, modern, comfortable, and welcoming. The staff were professional and polite, always ready to help with a smile. My room was well maintained, service ran smoothly, and the atmosphere felt safe. A great choice for business or leisure in Kathmandu, and one of my best hospitality experiences in Nepal.

There isn't a swimming pool onsite. Still, I had a fantastic three-night stay, with scrumptious breakfast and exceptional customer service. The room was small but built to a high standard. It wasn't fully soundproof, though it was far better than other hotels in Nepal. I can't fault the place and would consider staying again.

The fitness center was good, and breakfast was decent, but the room and facilities need better upkeep. The room was quite small, with old, stained furniture and worn bedsheets shedding fabric that should be replaced. There was no Smart TV, and even basic dental kits weren't in the room. We had to call to request them. Parking was a problem too. There was no proper guest parking, so we left the car in a very narrow alley outside. The guard said the parking inside was only for staff. The stay could have been much better with improved room maintenance and guest facilities.
