Alliance Hotel - Boudhanath Stupa

The staff made a great impression: they were polite, friendly, and professional. The managers were understanding too, and we even got some complimentary food, which I hadn’t expected and really appreciated. I also liked that they asked us to share honest feedback, good or bad, and offered a 10% discount for doing so. We stayed at Saanvi Hotel on its Valentine’s Day package, and it was a lovely experience, especially for a couple. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The candlelit table looked beautiful and made the atmosphere feel romantic. I tried Thai dinner for the first time, and I loved the Tom Yum Kai soup. I don’t usually leave reviews, but I’d happily visit again and recommend Saanvi Hotel. ☺️❤️

There wasn’t any clear information given ahead of time. We had to keep asking when dinner and breakfast would be, and outside food and drinks weren’t allowed either. 😂 I wouldn’t recommend it if you want freedom and value for money. We booked a package after reading the great reviews and asked them to arrange a Nepali meal, but they served Thai food instead. When I spoke to the manager, he said it was due to a “miscommunication,” which I could understand. Breakfast was another issue. They first said the package included juice instead of tea or coffee. When we asked for coffee, they hesitated and insisted it was juice only. We were shocked, since we’d paid NRP 6000 for a night package. They initially gave us three 5NRP packets of Nescafé. They did eventually serve coffee at breakfast, but that felt poor value for the money.

Bijaya Chapagain from management was humble and helpful, and Alisha, Ramila, Asha, and Sanu were all polite and friendly. Everyone made us feel welcome, and the hospitality was amazing. Sanvi Hotel & Restaurant has a beautiful, cozy atmosphere surrounded by nature. The pool area was relaxing, the rooms were comfortable and had all the facilities, and the rooftop restaurant was gorgeous. The food was extremely delicious too. Highly recommend it for a peaceful stay, great food, and excellent service. ⭐🌿

We had a misunderstanding with a staff member soon after arriving, and it left us a bit upset. Mr. Namraj Lama, the manager, handled it professionally, apologized sincerely, and made us feel welcome again. We spent two nights in a cottage room. It was cute for a couple, had AC, and was well maintained with good housekeeping. The bed was very comfortable. Food was very good, hygiene standards were excellent, and the staff were humble, friendly, and attentive. This was our first stay at Saanvi Hotel, chosen after seeing a few Google recommendations, and it became a memorable anniversary. The peaceful location near Boudhanath Stupa is handy for sightseeing and shopping. We highly recommend it and would love to return. Thanks to the whole team!
