I don't like the location, down an alley off the main road, and the hotel itself is old and outdated. Still, the staff made me feel at home, and Monise was my favorite. He was always smiling, respectful, helpful, and never made me feel rushed. He went above and beyond to keep me comfortable. The rest of the team were excellent too, and I was able to communicate with them quite well. Because of the staff, especially Monise, I'd stay again. Keep up the good work, my friends at Satkar. The room was just as promised: a double bed plus a separate extra bed for our child, and it was clean, with a fridge and water bottles. The bathroom was tidy and had running hot water, a hairdryer, slippers, soap, toothbrushes, and toilet paper. Housekeeping came every day, the staff were helpful, and they respected our request for pure vegetarian food. Breakfast was tasty, with fresh fruit and juice. Even though the hotel is in Thamel, it was quiet and peaceful. They also kept our luggage for free while we were in Chitwan. For this price, we couldn't have asked for more. We booked three nights at Satkar Boutique Home by contacting Mr. Jeshon Shreshta directly. Jeshon managed the whole trip and was with us from our arrival at Tribhuvan airport through departure, sharing stories about Nepal. He also arranged a jungle walking safari in Chitwan at a reasonable rate. Thanks to Hari and his senior guides Laxmiji and Ramji, we spotted 8 Rhinos, including 6 bathing in the water, a tiger drinking at the river, a flying peacock, and other rare birds. Everything was managed so well that we saw almost all the tourist spots in a short time. Thank you, Jeshon, for making our Nepal trip memorable. Please pass on our regards to Hari. Thank you.

For this price range, the spacious rooms and the hot water with decent pressure are hard to complain about. They provide the basic toiletries, even bathroom slippers. The owner is a decent young man, and airport pickup and drop-off are available. I haven't tried the food yet. A few things could be improved: the bathroom needs an exhaust fan, or at least the kitchen does. Towels should be changed periodically, and the upholstery on the room chair needs regular cleaning. The hotel is right in central Thamel.
