The room was 1500NR for one night. I’m sure you can find somewhere healthier and better for that price. The smell is hard to describe, so look at the pictures for yourself. If you’re sensitive, just don’t stay here.

I paid 1050 NRP for one night at Chillout, and the room was affordable, but it wasn’t worth it. The room and washroom were covered in mold, and the bathroom hygiene was a zero. There was no jet spray in the toilet, and the shower water was so hot I couldn’t manage the temperature. It felt like a room from a horror movie. I understand the price is low, but basic hygiene and facilities are still necessary.
It’s an old place, but the room was okay and spacious. The price is very cheap for a budget traveler. The bathroom and toilet seemed like they were never cleaned, and were very dusty. The water was yellow.
I stayed here for a week and found the rates reasonable, the food good, and the staff friendly. The rooftop restaurant has a nice atmosphere and bar service. It’s a good place to stay in the Thamel area, though the building is a little old and feels suffocating.
There were giant cockroaches in the room, and I found dirty socks there too. We got just one towel for two people. The place wasn’t clean or friendly, and the trekking information was terrifying. The rooftop is supposed to be non-smoking, but everyone smokes there. We were also given wrong information about the bus.
