They made an early check-in possible around midday, even though I arrived before the usual time, and gave me breakfast that morning too. That was especially appreciated after a long trip. The hotel had also arranged a free airport pickup when I first arrived in Kathmandu. The driver was friendly and told me a lot about the city’s history and culture along the way. The front desk team were so kind and attentive, often checking if I needed anything. Their care and the friendly atmosphere made the stay a pleasure. I’d recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Kathmandu, and I’d happily return.

That beer garden was such a nice place to slow down, with good music, tasty food, and a charming, peaceful feel. It was a highlight for me, whether having a chilled drink or spending time with friends or family. The rooms at Dom Himalaya Hotel were cozy, clean, and comfortable after a long day, and the staff were warm and always happy to help. I’d recommend it if you want a relaxing stay in the heart of the city.

We ate most of our meals at the hotel because the food was fresh and really good. The staff were attentive and friendly, and everything was clean. We also enjoyed the spa and had a couple of massages. The location is central, and our spacious room had a lovely balcony where we could unwind at the end of the day.

The bellhop was very friendly and welcoming, and I had a good stay here with a group. The location is right in central Thamel, which is good. Coming back alone after trekking was a different experience, though. My room hadn’t been cleaned properly, and I think there was vomit in the bathroom sink. When I reported it, they asked if I had cleaned it myself. I hadn’t, and asked them to clean the room. After that, reception came across as patronising.

The terrace view at night is worth seeing. I had a great stay, and the place felt welcoming and homey. The staff were friendly too.
