DO NOT BE MISLED: THIS IS NOT A HALAL RESTAURANT We went for lunch after seeing the good reviews and assuming the restaurant served halal food. A halal sign at the building entrance seemed to confirm it, but after climbing five flights of stairs because the elevator was out of order, we were told there was no halal food. The halal sign upstairs had a sticker pasted over it, though the one downstairs did not. Since we’d made the climb anyway, we tried the vegetarian menu. The food arrived quickly and looked great, but the taste didn’t justify the high price. The view and comfortable couches made for a relaxing afternoon, and the service was top class. The staff and cook were incredibly polite and honest. They could have tried to sell us the more expensive non-veg options, but they didn’t. That’s the only reason I’m giving this place three stars instead of one.

It took a little effort to find the hotel entrance amid the busy nearby streets, but the receptionist and restaurant staff welcomed my friend and me warmly. The food came quickly, was absolutely delicious, and the portions were surprisingly generous. I’d recommend this place to anyone nearby, including fellow Muslim travellers. Ciao!

The meal tasted good, but we couldn’t finish it. For a family of three, the portions were far too large, and a portion of chicken meant one huge serving regardless of how many people were sharing. We ended up paying for food we didn’t eat. Check the portion sizes and prices before ordering.

The waiter and manager were kind, and the little food we did get tasted good. The manager even gave my kid milk on the house. But service took over two hours, with dishes brought out one at a time. They brought lassi I hadn’t ordered and gave me veg instead of non-veg. After those two hours, they said they were going to make salad.

The chicken Jhol momo was great, and we came back a second time. The staff are welcoming and nice. I only found out after eating there for two days that this is not a halal restaurant.
