Kathmandu Marriott Hotel

The club lounge was fantastic, and the staff there were amazing. Housekeeping had the new room in pristine condition, and when we had a few problems with our first room, the hotel moved us quickly. Check-in and checkout were smooth, with excellent communication throughout. It's one of the best Marriott hotels I've stayed at. The front desk team also gave us plenty of information to help us see as much of Nepal as possible.

The spa, gym, and swimming pool made the stay especially memorable. Kathmandu Marriott Hotel has spacious, spotless rooms with modern amenities and lovely city views. The architecture and elegant interiors are captivating, and the restaurants serve a wide variety of food at international standards. Staff were polite, professional, and attentive. It's centrally located and offers a luxurious, world-class experience for anyone looking for something premium.

Sunita arranged breakfast to take away for our early flight and booked the hotel taxi back to the airport. Our one-night stop was the last hotel stay before Bhutan, and my mum and I wish we'd booked directly with the hotel instead of through the airline. There was a communication mix-up about dinner: the airline emailed that it was included, but hadn't confirmed that with the hotel. The manager kindly let us use the top-floor lounge, where we could relax and have a few happy-hour snacks after a long journey. Sunita was delightful at check-in and looked after us throughout. The front of house supervisor or manager was lovely too, though we've forgotten his name. The rooms matched the online description, food prices seemed fair compared with Europe, and the service was brilliant.

The executive lounge was a highlight, with courteous, exemplary staff and a decent spread. The fitness centre is well equipped, including a Jacuzzi, Steam & Sauna, and there are decent restaurant choices at the property. The hotel is centrally located and convenient for tourists. I've stayed here a few times for business, and while there were challenges at first, the staff took my feedback seriously and improved. Special thanks to Ms. Sunitha from Management and Mr. Anup, Mr. Manish, Mr. Ajay & Mr. Suraj from the Executive Lounge team for making me comfortable. The rooms are clean and maintained, but every time I check in they give me the same room they call a ‘mountain view’. It looks more like a ‘slum view’, facing a Pagoda that's been under repair for years and surrounded by slum dwellers. Breakfast is lavish, though the bakery selection could use more eggless options. A nice place for business or tourist stays, with great staff and service.
