Mount Annapurna Guest House

I'm a solo woman traveling, and this is where I feel really safe when I'm in Kathmandu. The guesthouse is in Thamel's Chinatown, within walking distance of all the points of interest. The rooms are roomy, modern, bright, and clean, with comfy beds. It's peaceful at night too, unlike some hotels where reception noise carries into the rooms. Great showers. I love staying here, and Raj often finds room for me when I turn up without warning.

While everything was shut during the unrest, the owner cooked for us and even sent someone out to get beers. The staff were friendly, the rooms clean, and the location was great, away from the main street. They also kept us informed about airport closures and where it was safe to go. A lovely little guesthouse, and I'd highly recommend it.

You can order meals right at the hotel, and the family running it are all kind and helpful. It's right in the center of Thamel, with spacious, very clean rooms. A perfect hotel, highly recommended.

Raj Kumar Bhujel, the owner, made this stay feel personal. He's one of the kindest and most helpful hosts I've met, and went out of his way to make sure I had what I needed. The staff were friendly and accommodating too, and you can tell they take care in keeping the guest house welcoming and comfortable. I stayed at Mount Annapurna Guest House for 7 nights. It was close to everything but still quiet. The rooms are simple and spotlessly clean, with the basics covered. There's a small restaurant on-site, which was handy for meals after long days exploring. Clean, well located, with a personal touch and good food.
