OYO 657 Hotel Everest Mount Holiday

On our first trip to Kathmandu and Nepal, we chose hotel Everest mount on my friends’ recommendation. From the moment we arrived, the staff looked after us so well, and we were comfortable throughout our stay with good facilities. They also arranged our onward visits around Nepal nicely. Shri Pravesh was especially patient with us, and we’re grateful to him and the whole team. Wishing everyone at the hotel happy, healthy, and prosperous times ahead.

I wouldn’t choose this hotel for a pleasant stay. The toilet wasn’t hygienic, and the jet spray didn’t work. Some doors wouldn’t close, while others didn’t have keys. The sheets were dirty and weren’t replaced when asked, and the Wi-Fi was sometimes unavailable.

The bathroom was in poor condition, and the towels were so dirty that I asked for a replacement. The second towel still wasn’t clean. There was no A/C, even though the room was expensive, and I’ve stayed at cheaper hotels with breakfast, A/C, and better rooms. I booked this place for Valentine's day ( 2020 ), but was told breakfast wasn’t being served that day. It was a really bad experience, and OYO network should reconsider this property. As a local guide, I wouldn’t recommend it to domestic or international tourists. If you’ve read this far, take another 20 minutes to look around. There are lots of better hotels nearby.

The staff are always great and ready to help. One of them works at the prepaid taxi stand and makes sure getting there is hassle-free. There’s also a good restaurant across the road. I’ve been to ﹰNepal six times in the last 28 months, and we always stay here.
