We asked to look at a room when we arrived, but the one we wanted wasn't available. We had also been told there would be hot water around the clock. After checking in, though, the tap only gave us cold, dirty brown water. When we raised the issue and asked for a refund, the manager argued and wouldn't cancel it properly. They took 2000 NPR unfairly and gave back only 5200 NPR. A very bad experience.

There was no housekeeping during my stay, and the room was dusty. I also had no hot water, and the service was awful. I booked four days but was asked to pay for six. As I was an outsider, I felt I had no choice and paid the extra money. They didn't give me an invoice. A horrible experience.

I wouldn't recommend it. The room wasn't properly clean, the washroom was dirty, and the blankets smelled. There were no tissues, and the locks were old and damaged. 👎

You're right in the center of Thamel, just a few minutes on foot from the main tourist streets, but the corner street keeps the traffic downstairs fairly light. The hotel isn't new, though the rooms are fine. The AC works, including its heating mode, and the big warm blankets made for a good night's sleep. A good restaurant next door serves espresso and European food from 7am to 12pm. I'd book without hesitation.
