The room came with our EBC trek package. A basic twin or queen room usually costs 2,500 NPR, while an AC room is 3,500 and a Deluxe room, which is really large, is 4,000. The room itself is very basic, and there isn't much service-wise. The TV didn't work, the curtains didn't fit the window, and the phone was out of order. Still, it's fine if you only need somewhere to sleep the night before a trek.

I’d happily come back to Potala Guest House. My room was kept clean and tidy, and the staff were helpful and friendly the whole time. The breakfast had a surprisingly wide choice, too. The place felt welcoming and safe, and I think it works well for all kinds of travellers. It was definitely worth staying there.

The people working there were friendly, and they even gave me a discount. I was on the first floor and could hear noise from outside all day, though it wasn't a big issue for me. The hotel was very budget friendly. My room looked old and seemed unclean at first, but it had actually been cleaned. The building itself is very old, while the lobby is comfortable and even feels modern.

Great food, lots of plants, and an awesome koi pond. This is a budget-friendly guest house, and the reception can exchange currency for a reasonable fee. There's no laundry service on site, but the shop next door does laundry. It suits solo travellers, couples, and groups of friends.
