A lot of the food comes straight from the gardens, and eating it made me feel nourished and connected to the land as a living place. Simon and Mina have put so much heart and care into Solid Rock Lodge, and you can feel that in the stay. Set among the mountains in Dakshinkali, it's a beautiful spot with access to several hiking trails, including routes to Asura cave and Yangleshö cave. One of the most special places I've ever been, full stop. I couldn't recommend it more highly.

Fresh air, big views, quiet surroundings, and good food from their garden made my nine days at Solid Rock Lodge a real pleasure. It felt like an authentic taste of life in Nepal. Mina and Simon were friendly and helpful, and the staff were excellent. A unique place. Thanks, and I hope I can visit again. Matthew

The food was delicious, healthy, and organic, and the owners were attentive and friendly. This lodge is in a beautiful, peaceful spot, conveniently close to spiritual places like Asura Cave, the Kali Temple, and other temples. Thanks so much for being such welcoming hosts. Our room was spacious and clean, and the hosts were so helpful and welcoming that we felt at home. It's a lovely lodge in a quiet village outside Kathmandu, with spectacular views. There are pleasant trails, a holy cave, and a huge buddha nearby. We'd love to come back.

We were lucky to find this hidden gem. It's a simple place with basic accommodation, nothing fancy, but it made us feel close to nature. The owners are lovely and the homemade food each day is delicious. Away from Kathmandu's bustle and pollution, you get a taste of simple country life. Waking up to birds and nothing else was a treat.
