Dinesh House

One afternoon, Dinesh's grandmother came out to the garden and showed me family photo albums from earlier times and trips. I'll remember that time fondly, and I'm planning to come back. Dinesh and his whole family were kind, caring hosts who shared tips for little walks and cooked delicious food. The house is a peaceful family home in nature on the hills above Begnas Lake. After a couple of days in Pokhara (Lakeside), the garden, birdsong, and greenery were a lovely break from the noise and busyness.

I've been here for nearly a month, having checked in as soon as I arrived. The Dinesh family are incredibly welcoming and made me feel at home. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the location is ideal. Breakfasts and dinners are delicious, with a taste of traditional Nepalese mountain life. The road is well maintained and the house is easy to reach on foot or by bicycle. The scenery is breathtaking. Each morning I watch the sunrise over the surrounding jungle as the mist clears, and in the evening the sunset turns golden over Annapurna's snow-covered peaks. I visit nearby villages every day, and Begnas Lake is a short walk downhill. For hiking, you can climb higher to find viewpoints and temples. This is where I've stayed the longest on my trip, and I absolutely love it. A unique rural experience in Pokhara!

I stayed at Dinesh's small guest house for a week. It's got three or four rooms, and the family are really sweet and easygoing. I planned to come back, but it got colder in this part of Nepal, so I bought a ticket to Thailand. I miss the views and eating dal baht by the fire in the evenings. Great spot.

I really enjoyed the coffee-making session with Dinesh. It's a magical place, and he and his family are so friendly and welcoming. If you're staying in Pokhara and want some quiet away from the city, I highly recommend coming here.
