Hotel Aakash International

We left as soon as morning came. There was still no electricity, and with no AC we didn't want to stay in the heat any longer. Most rooms face the sun, which seems like something that should have been considered when the property was built. The service staff were the one good part. They were almost always ready to help when I asked. The whole stay was nightmarish, even though I paid what felt like a high price. I spent much of the afternoon and evening calling different hotel staff. I know Aakash hotel is cheaper, but the facilities felt even cheaper. I won't recommend this OYO property to anyone, and I felt it was tarnishing OYO's image. There was no electricity backup, so we had to sleep through the night without power despite paying the owner in cash. The AC still didn't cool after electricity returned. This was true of every room on our floor. We changed rooms three times, but the AC wasn't working properly in any of them. I paid 2000 Nepali rupees in cash and felt I got the service of a 1 star motel. The owner Mr.Akash and the Manager were rude. Mr.Akash argued that nothing was wrong with the property, and later told me to vacate the room. I found his audacity mind-blowing, and he was not helpful. The landlines didn't work, so I had to go up and down each time I needed something. The TV didn't work in any of the rooms I switched to, Wi-Fi wasn't working, and no bathroom slippers were provided. Water leaked in the bathroom. The window was damaged and shook violently in the wind that night, waking me three times.

The room was just like the online pictures, and it was beautiful 😍. The staff were polite, the food tasted good 😋, and I had a nice stay. If I visit LUMBINI again, I'll definitely stay here.

I wouldn't give this place any stars because it has what I consider the world's most dangerous Rottweiler DOG, and they don't keep him on a chain. Last night it bit my daughter. I'm suffering from the shock of this accident, so please stay away from this hotel. Please 🙏

Thanks for the great service, Mishra Jee and Navaraj bhai. It's sad seeing businesses in Lumbini suffer from the drop in tourism after covid. I hope you guys get through it.
