Dragon Hotel

“A chef should aim for a consistent experience, not consistent taste.” That line from Burnt, 2015 came to mind here. There’s real potential in this older place. I liked the traditional woodwork, art, and furniture, and the location away from the crowded center is a plus if you want somewhere quieter. But the upkeep needs attention. I noticed a dusty smell on arrival and dust on the air conditioner and its filter, even though I hadn’t asked to use it. The shampoo and shower gel had been used; after I complained, only the shampoo was replaced. There were stains on the sheets, and the replacement sheets had even more. The cups and door were stained too, and the floors have lost their shine. I could hear the next room’s toilet, so there wasn’t much privacy. There was a phone in the room, but no line or intercom. Keeping the heritage feel is great, but the ambience and hospitality need an update. I’d like to return for the peaceful setting, once these improvements are made.
