After getting food poisoning from a local restaurant in the middle of the night, I needed to move out of my shared dorm at the Pokhara Backpackers Hostel. They were fully booked, but the owner of Kumari Lodge woke up and opened a private room for me. It was excellent and very reasonably priced. Hot water, good shower pressure, strong Wi-Fi, and a quiet, relaxing stay. The owner was ready to help with whatever I needed. Kumari Lodge doesn’t serve food, but it’s right beside the Backpacker’s Hostel, so their lounge and bar/restaurant are easy to use.

The rooftop on the fourth floor gives you a view of the Himilayas, and the mornings are usually clear of clouds. The lodge is also handy for Lakeside and nearby restaurants. My family and I had a very pleasant stay at Kumari Lodge. The owner is always on site and helpful with questions about the city, and kindly kept our two extra bags while we went trekking for a few days. The room outlets all worked, the beds were soft with warm blankets, and the bathrooms had toilets and hot showers. Five stars from me, especially for the reasonable price.

The location is good and it’s good value for money. It’s a quiet, pleasant place with its own patio, shared balconies, and an open roof. The Wi-Fi in the rooms is very weak, especially in the evenings, and the lighting is quite dim. Apart from that, everything was good.

The manager is really nice, and the rooms are clean, cozy, and in a good, quiet location. There’s no breakfast, and hot water for showers is available only around midday, from about 11 to 18.
