Peace Dragon Lodge is still one of the best places in Pokhara for views. From the building, the panorama over Phewa Lake and the mountains is the real highlight. It was a joy to return after ages and find that not much had changed. Room 3 has a little window entrance to the balcony, and that became my favorite place to sit. You can watch the mountains turn pink and gold at sunrise and sunset without leaving the room. There’s a short walk to the Sunrise Point, but it’s not needed if that’s what you’re here for. One floor below, we also spent evenings in the seating area, watching the sunset on one side and then having tea as the mountains changed color. Juliette, one of the owners, was quick to reply to questions. The caretakers, Dinesh and his family, were warm and kind, and made our stay feel personal. We ate delicious homemade food at every meal. The World Peace Pagoda is only a few steps away, and some new shops and cafés have opened nearby. I’d hoped to book Room 3 for longer, but it wasn’t available. I’ll definitely return to Pokhara and stay here again. Highly recommend it for peace, quiet, and beautiful scenery. A truly serene, memorable place.

It’s so peaceful and quiet here, and the owners are friendly and welcoming. We had dinner at the hotel and really enjoyed it. From our balcony, we watched both sunrise and sunset with the mountains in view and the Peace Pagoda directly in front of us. The setting and location are beautiful, hard to put into words. I’d definitely come back.

We took a row boat and walked up the hill, then watched the clouds clear around sunset and reveal the mountain ranges. The next morning we saw the sunrise and the micro lights passing above us along the valley edge, with mountains behind them. We reached the peace pagoda before the crowds and enjoyed a walk on the nearby paths. Pokhara looked beautiful at night too, and the mountain views above the valley rim were breathtaking. Great setting and lovely hosts. Bliss!

I only stayed one night, and my timing meant I missed the lodge’s famous mountain range and Pokhara-at-night views. Even so, the midnight rain made it feel magical. On the way back, we took a lovely walk down from the lodge to Phewa Lake. Unbelievable experience, and the host was great. The service felt very welcoming.

Dineish was a great host and helped with bookings and general questions. The balconies are huge and great for sunrise and sunset. It’s close to the Peace Pagoda, and you can take a ferry across the lake to Pokhara and back by the village at the foot of the hill. Hot showers, western toilets, and breakfast included. Great accommodation choice.
