Noise from the nearby bars gets loud around 10 PM, so keep that in mind. The hotel has only 18 rooms, which gives it an intimate feel, and every room faces Fewa Lake through floor-to-ceiling windows. Bathrooms have rain showers but no tubs. The rooftop Princess Terrace serves tandoori platters at sunset, and their masala chai is worth trying. Staff can arrange paragliding with vetted operators. Seems best suited to couples looking for adventure.

The room views are superb, and there’s plenty of space inside the rooms and around the hotel. The food tastes good, and we enjoyed our stays. Still, this is more of a hotel than a resort, and the rooms had rats and rodents. The property is pretty old, including the air conditioners and heaters. Our heater was damaged and never worked, even after several requests to reception and multiple attempts by maintenance.

The mountain views are perfect if you just want to sit and relax. The place is scenic, serene, and quiet. It’s a little far from the main city and lakeside, though, and getting a cab can be an issue.

We were here for a wedding, so I can’t comment on the rooms. Royal Palm resort is a large, older property in an excellent spot on the highway. The lawn has a beautiful scenic view of the Annapurna Mountain hills range, and the interior ambience is good. There’s a swimming pool and enough parking, though the lot isn’t very big. The food was good but not excellent, and the washroom wasn’t very clean. Seems like a good resort for weddings or parties.

The room was average for a hotel, but every staff member, from the manager down, was excellent, helpful, and courteous. They treated us like family. I’d definitely stay there again if I return to Pokhara.
