The in-house casino gave the place a lively feel, and the bar was a nice spot to unwind in the evening. I also enjoyed the varied, delicious food. During my stay, the polite and helpful staff provided good service. Hotel Ichchha has clean, decently maintained rooms and a comfortable atmosphere in the heart of Birgunj, with entertainment and hospitality that suited my visit. It seems like a good option for business or leisure.

It has a large property, a casino, and is a well-known wedding destination in the area. Still, I didn’t get the feel of a multi-star hotel. My own impression is that this could be because it doesn’t have enough staff for a property of this size.

I appreciated the hotel’s airport pickup and drop-off. I was there for a business meeting last week, on August 23, 2025, but didn’t stay overnight. The food was OK, though I think its quality could be improved. There’s a swimming pool to enjoy, and I hope to stay next time and get to know the hotel better.

The location and vibe felt surreal, and my room was clean with a comfortable bed and an amazing view. Staff were friendly and happy to talk, explain things, and guide me on where to go and how to get there. The gym was open and had all the essential equipment, so I didn’t have to miss my workout. I went for a swim around 8 at night after the gym and found two dead frogs in the water. There was no changing room available because of construction. They cleaned the pool in the morning, so maybe evening isn’t the best time for a dip. The food was great. I booked through booking.com and found it somewhat expensive, but breakfast made up for it. The veg sandwich was a blessing for my taste buds, the best I’ve had to this date. I enjoyed my stay and made lots of memories, though I’d rate this as a max 3-star hotel despite its 5-star identification.
