Ingate Hotel

We really enjoyed the breakfast, and the staff were friendly, polite, and always smiling. The hotel is new and very comfortable. We were very pleased with our stay.

It’s a nice hotel, and the rooms are nice too. But after we left a personal item behind, they wouldn’t tell us where it was. We had to threaten to call the police and ask them to check CCTV before they returned our belongings.

The restaurant bar downstairs is perfect, and the room was very clean and well equipped. The staff were extremely polite. As a frequent traveler and pilot, I found the place reminiscent of Ibis hotels. The breakfast needs work, though, and there’s not much around to go to, which is normal in Magusa. My floor was a little noisy, with some unknown Morse-like dots. The separate parking spots behind the hotel were dusty. Generally, it’s good for a temporary stay.

I’ve changed my previous good review after three bad experiences in a row. The last visit was awful. Five of us waited over an hour, then every dish turned out badly. Both breakfast burgers were cold, and the fried onions seemed refrigerated. My breakfast bowl was cold too. I sent it back, and they microwaved it with the salad and cucumber still on the plate. The cheese became completely inedible, the egg was rubbery, and the salad was warm. The chicken salad seemed to have been kept on a hot plate: the salad was warm, ironically, while the chicken was cold. We were starving, and I’ll eat almost anything when I’m hungry, but we sent all the food back. The staff just shrugged and didn’t know what to do. After a lot of pushing, they agreed to give us a free takeaway coffee. Shameful, really. We didn’t eat the food and should have received a refund. We won’t return.
