The cosy lounge with its open fire was a lovely spot to unwind and read in the evening. Sara was so welcoming, and she made an amazing breakfast each day. The old house has plenty of history and has been nicely renovated where needed. I had a fantastic stay and would happily come back.

The house itself has a story, including an original staircase and railing that are over 100 years old, and it’s clearly been cared for and kept up by its owners. It’s a charming little B&B, about a five-minute walk from the center of Akaroa. Breakfast was delicious and much appreciated, and the staff and owners were a delight to talk with. Highly recommend if you’re in the area.

Everything felt lovely, from the furniture and furnishings to the china, the welcome, SARAH, and the waffles at breakfast. It was like staying in the home of your dreams, with a homely kind of luxury. Looking forward to coming back :)

Sarah gave us a great welcome, and the breakfast she prepared was stunning. We also loved the view from the top patio. Such an enjoyable stay, and I’d recommend this location.
