The location was really handy, and the staff were great. They even tried to arrange an early check-in for us. We had a two-bedroom family unit that was very warm, but there were several problems with it. The bathroom needs a fan because the window doesn’t do enough, and there’s no soundproofing at all. We could hear the people below us snoring, and they could hear the kids. Since it’s on a main road, every vehicle going past was audible too. The entry door sticks and needs planing, which seems like a serious fire hazard. The windows have no safety stays either, so a child could open one and fall out, although we could jump out of them. Time for a renovation.

We were in room 12, a lower floor family room behind the main building. The two-bedroom room was spacious, the location was great, and the staff were very nice. But the view from our window was of garbage bins and gas tanks about 3 m away, and there was no sound protection between floors. We heard every step upstairs, along with conversations and snoring. It made the stay unpleasant, and I don’t plan to come back.

There’s a spacious living area, a comfortable bed, and a nice room. Having a kitchen was a real bonus, since we could cook instead of eating out every night. It’s an easy walk into town for restaurants if you prefer to go out rather than use the in-house restaurant. A solid 4.5 stars, and I’d stay here again.

The management and staff were amazing, and made us feel more like family. Our unit was clean and tidy, right near the shops and cafes, with a pleasant walk into the centre of Alexander. The restaurant bar was good too. We enjoyed fresh, tasty tea in a good-sized serving, and breakfast was yummy and filling. Thanks for hosting us, it was a lovely place for a relaxing stay. 😌

Clean and tidy, with everything you need. It’s a bit dated, but things work and they’re doing their best to keep you comfortable. The bed was good too!
