Sandy was very helpful when I booked directly with the motel. It’s simple, no-frills accommodation at an inexpensive price, and suits a couple of nights. The bed was comfortable, and there’s a full communal kitchen. Parking is off street, though the spaces are tight. Getting around is easy: there’s a bus route nearby, Ellerslie train station and the town centre are about a five-minute walk away, and it’s handy for Mount Smart stadium and the 666 GSR business area.

Sandy, the owner, made this stay a five-star one. She was exceptionally friendly, easy to deal with, and went well beyond what she needed to do. The room itself was clean and tidy, about what you’d expect from a budget motel, and the train is a short walk away. Thanks again for the six-star service.

Sandy was very nice, but the room itself was bare bones. Cafe cooking smells and road noise came through. It’s fine if you just need an inexpensive place to sleep for the night.

The king bed was divine, and the room was really clean and tidy. The duty manager on the day was so friendly and helpful. I’d readily recommend it to anyone after a quiet, somewhat secluded night or two.

I don’t like the bad smell, which I think may be because people receiving Work and Income support live there. Sandy, though, is lovely to talk to and gives the best customer service.
