I spent five months here, and it was easily the best hostel I’ve stayed in. The kitchen and living room are spacious, with everything needed to cook, including pans, pots, and salt. Each floor has plenty of showers and toilets. The rooms have curtains and plugs for charging devices, and the housekeepers and manager are lovely and available. I’d especially recommend it at the start of a trip.

As a first-time hostel guest, I found the room clean and better than I expected. The staff were lovely and made me feel welcome, especially one young German woman. The location on K' Road made it easy to reach the local bars and clubs. I had a great experience.

The place was clean, the staff were super friendly, and I met lots of really nice people. One Maori guy stood out: his face tattoos made him look scary at first, but he turned out to be really friendly and nice, and seemed to know all the staff. I’d definitely stay again.

The people are what make this hostel feel so lovely. There’s a real family atmosphere, and I know lots of people who keep coming back. The kitchen and bathrooms are always very clean too. It’s a good one!

The beds were comfortable and the showers were clean, but this wasn’t the best stay. On weekend nights the streets get extremely loud, with people screaming and partying across the street all night. Also, the outlets all shut off at midnight, so our fan and phone chargers stopped working. It left us with dead phones and made travelling the next day harder. Loud nights and no power.
