JetPark Auckland Airport Hotel & Conference Centre

The free airport shuttle was a real plus. We arrived after midnight and could simply call for it, with no problem. After checkout, we ate at the restaurant and found the portions huge, especially the all-day breakfast, so it was good value. Our first-floor room was bright and spacious, looking over the car park. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows fabulous. The shower was great, with nice toiletries, and there were thoughtful extras like robes, biscuits, and a carafe of water in the fridge. We also got complimentary late checkout at 11.00. The staff were friendly and helpful. We did hear some chatty guests passing along the corridor, though. We stayed in November 2024.

I had a comfortable room, a nice dinner in the restaurant, and lovely service from the people there. I enjoyed my stay. One thing, selling cafe food like scones the next day feels a bit of a no-no.

It’s an excellent airport hotel, about a quick 10-minute drive from Auckland International Airport when traffic is light. The industrial area isn’t much to look at, but proximity to the airport is the point. The hotel has more to offer than you might first expect: very comfortable beds, robes, nice bath products, a good breakfast that we added to our room rate, and a huge car park. It was reasonably quiet, and the elevator was good. There’s a shower but no tub. Two small frustrations: I couldn’t easily work out the in-room air conditioning, and finding plugs by the bed meant getting on all fours to reach one below the shelf between the two beds.

Our deluxe twin in Block 4, Level 2 was clean and nice, with two queen beds and a big window facing the car park. But we all woke up with sore backs because the beds were hard, and the pillows weren’t comfortable either. There was no microwave, toaster, hairdryer, or outlet plug to spare. We had to unplug the room phone and charge one thing at a time. The shower head kept twisting while we showered, and the TV programmes were boring, with no movie channels. The air con was noisy on low, like a plane overhead, but the room got hot when it was off since there were no windows to open.
