The central location makes this a handy base for exploring Auckland, and the overall feel is warm and welcoming. Our spacious, clean, modern room was a pleasant surprise, especially given the brand’s reputation for compact rooms. The pillow menu was a thoughtful touch, and we found the hotel clean, practical, and good value. Many rooms in the lovely building have great skyline views, with some looking towards the harbour. The included breakfast is excellent and served in the restaurant area. Ethan at the front desk gave us a warm welcome, showed us around the facilities, and was especially attentive. The front office team made the stay, and I’d happily return. Thanks for a refreshing visit.

I was in town for the Special Convention of JW, and my stay at Holiday Inn Express Auckland City Centre was wonderful. The room was a 10/10, clean, comfortable, modern, and very well cared for. Staff throughout the hotel were helpful, accommodating, and genuinely hospitable. Breakfast was amazing, and the breakfast team were just as friendly and attentive, making each morning a great start. It was a memorable stay, and I’d gladly come back. Definitely recommend it.

Breakfast was a highlight, with hot dishes, pastries, fruit, and drinks to choose from. The dining area was clean and organised. My room was spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully laid out, with a very comfortable bed, good soundproofing, and a modern bathroom with good water pressure and quality amenities. The hotel is modern and well maintained, and the staff were friendly and professional from check-in to check-out. Its central Auckland location made it easy to walk to the Sky Tower, Queen Street, restaurants, cafes, and public transport. A convenient, comfortable stay and good value for money. I’d recommend it for business or leisure and would happily stay again.

For such an affordable hotel, this was one of the nicest I’ve stayed in. The rooms were clean, the staff were friendly, and breakfast was incredible. I ordered a coffee at the bar, and it was 10/10 even by my coffee-snob standards. The bacon and sausage were very undercooked, though I did see you could ask for crispy bacon. There was some congestion from guests standing around without being mindful of others. I’ve stayed at high-end resorts elsewhere in the country that I wouldn’t recommend, but I’ll definitely come back here. Well done 😊
