Mount Richmond Hotel

For what we needed, the location was good, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room itself was tiny and needed a lot of work: the air con leaked the whole time, there was a strange smell, the bathroom sink was cracked, and there was mold in the shower. They had no spare room to move us to. The pillows and towels were very thin, though the bedding looked clean.

The location worked for us and the staff were friendly. Rooms were tidy, and the bed was comfortable for me, though low for the folks. There was no chair. The bathroom tap was loose when we arrived, but got fixed a few days later. When they cleaned the room, they didn't replace the coffee or face cloths, and the standard TV was a joke, either no reception or a pixelated picture. The place needs a lot of TLC. Dad is elderly and infirm, and the uneven tiles and raised edges around the complex felt quite dangerous. I really think renovations should take that into account too.

There’s a bus stop right across the road, and the ride to Sylvia Park takes less than ten minutes. I didn't get to explore everything the hotel offers, but what I did experience left me extremely satisfied. My room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed. The staff were outstanding and professional. I had a couple of very basic questions in one of those moments, the sort that might get an eye roll or groan from someone else, but they just helped and put me at ease.

The gaming lounge brings in locals and made guests feel unsafe. The shower was dirty, and everything was outdated. The girl at reception didn't speak English well. I wouldn't stay here again.
