I was meant to check in after hours at 7pm, and after emailing back and forth I was told it wouldn't be a problem and the after-hours manager would let me in. I followed their check-in instructions and tried for over an hour after arriving, but couldn't reach the manager. Eventually I found a number for Quest headquarters through Google, and they helped me. Other people arriving after me had the same problem and were locked out without help.

People who sleep lightly may not find this place a good fit. The old building's windows do a poor job of blocking noise, so loud traffic comes through, then late-night music, drunk partygoers and the sound of recycling and rubbish being cleared.

The room was spacious and comfortable, with a dishwasher, dryer and washing machine, which made things really convenient. There was no light above the shower, though, so bathing was a bit awkward. We also had a small issue with the washer, but the staff went out of their way to take our clothes and wash them for us. Their service was excellent. A few little inconveniences aside, we had a great stay and appreciated the amenities. I'd recommend it for a comfortable, convenient visit.

I was the former tenant of unit 511, which I rented from February 2024. My tenancy was meant to run until February 2026, but I ended it early after mistreatment and harassment from staff. The first year of the 20 months I lived there wasn't too bad compared with the last eight. My room was beside the staff kitchen, and the soundproofing was awful. I couldn't enjoy quiet in my home while they made plenty of noise. I let it go at first. I hadn't looked up tenancy law, and I was a meek autistic person then, what can I say. At the end of 2024, I burned out after a school group project and left the art school I was attending because it didn't feel like a good fit. I started learning about autism and autistic masking, and tried to let myself be myself. Things at the hotel got worse after that. I don't know if it was my fashion, which is totally fine, or maybe that I looked like someone with no background or support. 🤷 Some things that happened: **Stairway door:** Unit 511 is actually on the first floor, and I usually take the stairs. From February, the stairway door got harder and harder to open until I had to pull three times. No matter how hard I pulled, it wouldn't open on the first two tries. I have a video. After I filmed it and went back to my room, someone went upstairs and coughed very hard. A few days later the door had somehow gone back to normal. I asked ChatGPT, and it said a hotel shouldn't put obstacles in the way of using the stairway, especially since it's the only one. **Fragrance:** About a week before Sep 07, a strong fragrance smell lasted over five hours. On Sep 07 it lasted two to three hours, on Sep 17 it was mild, and from Sep 23 onwards it was there almost every day. **Front door:** During opening hours, the hotel entrance didn't always open automatically. I wouldn't be surprised if it was the same person on shift. On Sep 07 at 7pm, there was no staff member there and a group of Asian travellers was waiting at the desk. On Sep 13 at 5:52pm, staff was there. On Sep 14 at 6:58pm, there wasn't. On Sep 15 at 6:05pm, the door didn't open right away. I stood there for two seconds, and it opened just as I reached for my room card. On Sep 21 at 6:01pm, it again failed to open automatically, though there was a guy sitting in the lobby. **Other incidents:** On Aug 28, they left a vacuum cleaner in front of my door, specifically the rod part. The vacuum had a face and two big eyes, pretty cute, by the way. They had hospitality training, so they knew what they were doing. On Oct 09, they deactivated my room card even though I hadn't moved all my stuff out and the new tenant hadn't moved in yet. There's a lot more, but I don't want to make this post too long.
